The tutorials I have found just don’t end up with it working. I have my midi kb coming into Scaler, it works fine, and in the 2nd track/instrument, if I I have Scaler as the input it just doesn’t work. If I have the midi kb as the input to this other vst I get sound, but Scaler will not activate the other instrument. If I want to hear scaler Chords on another instrument I have to import the chords. It is annoying not being able to hear it in real time and have it working. Clearly there are some deeper settings I am missing. Any help appreciated.

Do you have Monitor turned on in the 2nd instrument? That’s the key to hearing the 2nd Instrument.
Set the 2nd VSTi track to Scaler 2 as in this video. Starts at around 14 minutes in.
Make sure the input of the 2nd instrument is set to Scaler2 and the Monitor button is on.
