i have may own piano midi files. I need to change melody and chords to get new version for these music files…
Can i do it by scaler 2 in smart way ? pls guide me step by step !
This is based on Cubase Pro DAW.
Place your piano midi on an instrument track 1.
Drag midi to scaler track. Scaler will read notes and present options for keys. Select a key in scaler.
In scaler select melodies, passages, or other performance selection.
Place additional instrument track 2, but on this one change input from “all midi files” to receive “output from scaler.”
Select instrument track 2, press record and scaler will generate a new midi pattern based on your selection.
Repeat until you find pleasing combination.
There are lots of options in Scaler settings to try. hit cog wheel in upper right hand corner to get drop down menu.
Based on your selection, say Melody, you can elect to create a melody from scale or chords, and create melody only, or chord + melody.
Hopefully that will get you started.
