Hello, Scaler2 crash on osx 10.13, ableton live 10 suite, crash after first note pressed when the arpeggiator in scaler2 is activated, i have some logs maybe can help, i have many other vst also yours and unfortunately this is the only one to crash
I have been trying inside Ableton Live Standard 10.1.30 on Mac OS 10.15.7 with ScalerAudio2 VST2 and VST3 version 2.1.2, and I, unfortunately, can’t replicate.
My scenario was:
open Ableton
load VST2 (and the VST3 version to test both) version of ScalerAudio2 version 2.1.2 in the first track
select the arpeggio from the top live settings controller from inside Scaler
then I clicked a key from the UI keyboard (I also tried with a MIDI keyboard)
And in all cases (VST2/VST3 ; click on UI/ MIDI keyboard…), it was going fine.
Do this scenario is crashing on your system?
If not, do you have a step by reproducible step scenario to make Scaler the Crash on your system?
@luapmartin have tried again, this time fresh new machine, same osx version 10.13, fresh ableton install + scaler, same problem, crash after play on arp, i send a video, please look all the steps:

Thanks for the video, although I replicate your scenario, on my side, it is working, with no issue when using the arpeggio as you showed.
From what I can observe, it seems you are using the VST2 version of the plugin and this time you are using Scaler2, not ScalerAudio2, have you tried the VST3 version of the Audio Unit (AU) version? Could you confirm that the VST3 and the AU version are behaving the same on your system?
Do you have any other details that could help us track down this issue?
Does it do the same when using performances instead or arpeggio?
Does it crash when clicking on the UI keyboard instead of using the computer keyboard or using an external MIDI keyboard?
Have you registered your version? Or are you using the Demo mode?
Does it only crash when using the arpeggio at launch? Or at any time?
Are you able to use all the other features and then use the arpeggio correctly? Or will it crash even on a session that you have been using with the rest of the features?

Does it crash when clicking on the UI keyboard instead of using the computer keyboard or using an external MIDI keyboard? Crash with midi usb keyboard (m-audio) and without(like on video)keyboard of ableton live or UI scaler keyboard

Crash only on arpeggio, but i cant try deeper, i cant use now for work, every crash i lost a lot of with recover save reload etc..
@simonhmz, thank you for all those details. I guess you installed everything in the default location, and you don’t have a special configuration of Ableton and you are using the same version of Ableton on both systems.
Could you try disabling the Audio Analyse (by clicking on the AUDIO text under MIDI), when disabled, the result of the audio detection should say “- OFF -” like this:
To enable just click again on AUDIO.
Also, do you have the possibility to check in another DAW?

Same crash with audio -off-, i have tried Waveform Free Daw, and no crash…
arpeggiator crash with midi track recorded on clip too, on live performance, ui key, midi key, querty key.
the problem is related only to Ableton Live 10 and only on OSX 10.13.6, today I also tried on windows 10 and no crash was detected …

So the arpeggiator inside the progression builder (Section C) is working. Still, as soon you input live data and use the arpeggio from the live performance settings the crash appear when using Ableton Live 10.1.30 in conjunction with Mac OSX 10.13.6.
May I ask you if your system can be updated to a later version of macOS? Or are you using an old Mac hardware?
