Did I imagine this or did I read that a future version of Scaler is going to have the ability to follow the notes of the chords you are playing with the right hand/melody? Is that going to be in version 2 or…? Thanks!

Absolutely and more, we are beta testing some very exciting methods of implementing ‘melody lock’ and ‘scale lock’. Stay tuned. There will be an announcement (most likely) at ADE on October 15th with a Q4 release.
