Logic pro X project wont open (repeat problem from before) - Scaler issue

Hi there

had this problem before - and it’s resurfaced. A project I’ve been working on all day now won’t open - logic crashes every time with Scaler identified as the problem in the error pop up.
Logic Pro X quit unexpectedly while using the Scaler plug-in.

There’s nothing in the components folder - each time I try to remove all plugin boutique folders and scaler files etc as instructed, they just reappear. ‘Remove’ in logic plug ins manager also greyed out alongside Scaler. Disabling Scaler in plug ins manager also ineffective. Have just tried downloading and installing 1.8.1 - no joy. PLEASE HELP!!

You should update to Scaler 2. It’s $19 and we will stop support for 1.8
In the meantime I am not sure what you are doing but I suggest the following:
Install 1.8
Reboot your machine
Open a new, empty Logic Project (not a template)
Go to Plugin Manager, select Scaler and ‘RESET and RESCAN’ selection
Open Scaler

I’m presuming that will work fine, if it does, reopen your old session

thanks Davide for the quick response - managed to get in just now by disabling core audio - opening the project and removing the scaler track. Not a long -term solution but at least it worked for me. Will follow your instructions above and take a look at Scaler 2 as well. Thanks so much.
