Make all notes/chords to the 3rd or 5th?

Hi, i am trying to put my sequence of notes or chords to the 3rd or 5th using Edits and semi-tone, but when putting semi-tone to 5 it does not work, some do some don’t? same for the filth, please let me know. thx

If you want to move your chord up a third/fifth you have to move it:

  • Minor 3rd: 3 semitones
  • Major 3rd: 4 semitones
  • 5th: 7 semitones

Yes as Ed states its a common misconception, in music we say a fifth (perfect fifth) which in sound design is a 7th (7th semitone) Basically from C to G if you were playing a C chord.
