Hello, I am new to Scaler. I am watching tutorials and playing with Scaler to learn it. I am confused as to what the difference is when the Phrase Mode is set to “Scale” or “Chord”. The difference is not clear to me. I would appreciate your input. Thank you.
Phrases, melodies can all be scale based or chord based. The latter means that the phrases move up and down with the chord but in Scale Based mode they will remain at the same pitch when moving chords whilst staying locked to scale. Makes for lots of harmonic versatility and exploration.
Try it! I have a good example in one of my vides but struggled to find it given I have made hours worth of content. Maybe for future I need an index for the videos…
