Allowing us to program the various aspects of a pattern is a great feature.
Allowing us to play a pattern strictly for the timing values would be great.
Workflow:
set pattern chord/tune/performance details like normal
instead of setting duration and repeat settings by hand, we could play a pattern in the new “timing record mode” and have Scaler do it’s best to quantize the playing into pattern duration and repeat settings. Then we could tweak the timing by hand like we do now.
