I bought Scalar thinking it would detect audio and recognize what was being played. I am a guitar player with Pro Tools as a DAW and I think I have figured out, belatedly, that Scalar doesn’t recognize the file type that Pro Tools generates. Any suggestions?
Played? Okay… you might feel that way, maybe understandable. But, I can assure you that wasn’t the case.
Scaler does a pretty good job, but not perfect.
Suggestions? Sure. Up to 88.2 and 16-bit is the best to use. 24-bit does work, but 32-float (24 bits after removing the sign bit and the mantissa) does not.
Note: Also use the formats, as per the manual that came with the 2.2 Scaler update.
