Particularly useful…the variable velocity settings in the arp, when velocity is mapped to synth timbre, like here in Serum to the LP filter. Adds a bit more emphasis to certain notes, and it does not have to be repetitive, the velocity grid length can differ from the note arp grid length, adding more variety even.
Something similar can be achieved with the Arturia Pigments sequencer.
