In Logic Pro X, Scaler can only control external instruments when used as a MIDI FX plugin.
ScalerControl is a MIDI FX plugin version of Scaler providing the same functionality.

To control external instruments within Logic Pro please use ScalerControl as a MIDI FX plugin.

How-To

  1. Load ScalerControl from the MIDI FX dropdown on the track of your choice.
  2. Load the instrument you wish to control from the Instrument dropdown on the same track.
  3. Scaler MIDI output is automatically routed to your instrument.
