Using your voice and DODO Midi 2 to drive any synth

Today my wife came out for a couple of hours :grinning:, so I had a chance to test DODO

This amazing free plugin lets you convert audio to MIDI real-time, and it works indeed!

The trick is sending the microphone output to DODO, then DODO will convert it real-time and will send the MIDI output to any plugin, Xpand!2 brass section in my test

and here is Xpand!2 receiving the MIDI
the Bitwig effect forces notes to follow the same scale (Mi minor) used by Scaler to feed the guitar (that feeds in turn Broomstick Bass)

And here is the result, DODO Brass

P.S: I stopped singing about 10 years ago, so I had difficulties to modulate it properly  and this is why there is some inaccuracy, but I think that the trick may work better with some training, and it seems to me that I can use it for funky brass riffs, at least

I am also tempted to buy a MIDI flute, so to be able to practice without disturb the peace… I’ll let you know if I do that
