An automatic drummer? I found it: Jamstix!

I replaced EZBass with one simpler UJAM bass
I then replaced EZKeys (not sold yet) with 2 of the UJAM pianos
Yesterday I sold EZDrummer, so I searched for an automatic drummer, and I think I’ll go to Jamstick, as suggested in the past by @Miki

I also tried MT-PowerDrumKit that is not so bad, but Jamstick seems better because it adds bridges automatically, and it seems following better my changes of piano or guitar rhythms

Let me say that the 3 Toontrack tools are amazing, relatively not RAM-suckers, stable, intuitive etc., but they are too much complex for my little needs and my tastes, and what pushed me away was also/above all the lack of integration among the 3 plugins

For example, you build a cool drum-line on EZDrummer with intro, some verses, bridges, etc., but when you D&D the sequence in EZKeys or EZBass all those parts are lost, and you have to rebuild all them YUK!

A cumbersome and boring process, notably if you wanted just auditing/jamming

This is why I kept Broomstick Bass even if the sound was not so good, but now I decided to simplify everything, so the Toontrack tools are the first ones to be sold

Almost the same happened with Izotope, after @jamieh said that my mixes were smashed by an excess of effect, and he told me that my manual mixes were better

Well, I bought Jamstix
It is an amazing and unique tool, and I love it

Too bad that its development seems stopped (no VST3 ongoing), but it is easy to use, stable, not a RAM/CPU-sucker, and automatic but variable according to the plugin used to drive it, often an UJAM’s piano or bass

I think there are no other drums plugins that can beat those features

You can always check with the company: CONTACT US
Why not ask on their forum to see if there is a new development in progress?
And, yes, it is a-maz-ing!

There is Jamstix 4.5.0 Beta 1 (PC) Available which means they continue with development.

Because many asked and had no reply…
And the last Ralph post in the beta-release topic is Nov 22, 2021…
Moreover, I asked to enter the forum and received zero reply

OMG, I didn’t check the date. :frowning:

But there are posts on forum from this year. Maybe there is still hope

There’s still bait of a community around it, but there haven’t been any updates for quite a while, especially on Mac, where there’s no Apple Silicon version.

Yes, I see that
The fact I am not allowed to enter the forum is a clue that the developer is no more in business, or even worse
I found zero clues searching for his name

I’s a shame that this great plugin has no future, even if it can be used to drive modern drumming plugins if needed
Useless for me, but possibly useful for others
I think I’ll buy other packs, as far as they are on sale

I just acquired All MiniPak Bundle at $59
Later I’ll buy some extension, maybe

I used the granny Broomstick Bass until last month, so I can use Jamstix forever :grinning:

BTW, searching for the creator, I found he wanted to develop an automatic bass in the same style: too bad he didn’t succeed

I’ ve used it as well. Its so sad I can’t use it on my M3 Mac :sleepy:

Have you tried some MAC plugin host?
I think to remember that it is a possible way, for certain plugins at least
