I’ve created a song this time where I started with all the melodies only because the lyric came first. Essentially, the melodies are what will be vocal notes that I’m currently playing through a piano instrument. What I’d like to do is just detect these MIDI notes in Scaler, then have Scaler create a chord progression for the entire melody as a starting point. IOW, I want more than just to be able to detect the key. Is this possible?
If it’s not currently possible, but might be considered for development, I’d have more suggestions about what I think I need.
@EricJames Yes I do use RC. I love it. It’s a little hard to get your head around sometimes, but extremely powerful. My only complaint is its bugginess from time to time. The developer is very active and responsive to fixing issues though so that kinda mitigates that. I think Scaler is more powerful at suggesting progressions, but for everything else I like to use RC.
Yes I’d like to have this as I’m currently seeking ways to record my left hand “fingered chord” progressions as played into my hardware keyboard arranger- a Yamaha PSR SX 900 - which has this CHORD LOOPER feature which would be great IF… one could actually edit the bloody things afterwards - but Yamaha in its infinite wisdom said NO…
