This is for sure a beginners question.
When I select Scaler as an instrument in Cubase, there are two Scalers listed.
What are the differences?
I read about a Scaler and a Scaler Audio plugin.
And which one is which?
The one called Scaler2 is VST2 and the one called Scaler 2 is VST3. Scaler 2 (VST3) would be the preferred one for Cubase but both work the same. At one time VST3 has issues with passing CC messages but that has been fixed. I would stick to VST3 in the latest versions of Cubase.
