Per my earlier post, I’ve been studying and playing music since the late 1960s, with a particular love for the popular songs of the 1920s through the 1960s, and their jazz variations. This is my second neophyte attempt at composing and producing in that style, using Scaler2, the Studio One DAW, and Synth V, starring its robot voice, Kevin. Other essential VSTs were EZKeys, Band-in-a-Box, and Native Instruments’ Kontakt.
“Campari!” is an up-tempo love song, inspired by the music of Dean Martin & Bobby Darin and the New York radio station WNEW-AM in the 1960s.
