Can't mute chords when trying to play melody with keys lock (chord notes)

Hello, I duplicated an instance of scaler after creating the chord progression and I want to create a melody with the second instance of Scaler. I want to have my notes locked into only the chord notes only but I don’t want to hear the chords within that instance. I just want to play melody. I tried muting chords and I still hear them. Is this possible?

This works only if you have bind your chords A, B or C place, like I have done under picture.

Thank you for the response. It still doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve attached more screenshots, does it have something to do with the midi part on my melody track? I’m also using my mouse to click on the keyboard in Scaler, does that matter?

Hi! I try it this out and I got this works only with chord extension mode. This way you can hear only melody line. I have pasted picture here. I have played melody with my keyboard.
