when I put on recording to detect audio or midi, scaler puts me on the 1st chord and it stops immediately after.
Furthermore, when I drag a pattern of midi chords so that it detects them, it doubles certain chords and sometimes it puts small letters before the next chord.
Can you help me.
I did’nt find any answer in the course i purchased.
Hi Maurice, welcome to the forum. It can be tricky to tell where things are going wrong without seeing exactly what you are doing. You might like to have a look the detect section of Davide’s Scaler 2 Beginner’s Guide video to make sure you are following the correct procedure. https://youtu.be/Mq9zRKG0SW8?t=211
Otherwise perhaps you can post a video somewhere like iCloud or Google Drive so we can see the recording issue you’re having.
When detecting MIDI via recording or dragging MIDI onto Scaler 2 for detection, keep in mind Scaler 2 is designed to detect chords and not individual notes. Or if the MIDI chords are not precisely edited or quantized it can cause issues. When individual notes rather than chords are detected the note names are displayed as smaller boxes which may be the smaller letters you are referring to. If you’re concerned the MIDI data is not being detected accurately you can upload the MIDI file you are dragging for us to test, as well as a screenshot of your Scaler 2 detection results.
