Editing chords removes Performance Expression

If I edit a chord in a progression that I have an Expression on, when I finish editing, the Expression is now off. If I didn’t actually edit the chord then if I turn Expression back on what I had originally is there. If I actually edit the chord then turning it back on is blank and I have to choose again.
OS 10.13.6/Ableton Live 10/Scaler 2.1
