How can i create custom basslines/bass riffs?

The presets are not enough and untouchable about driving,style…I want to edit them in a scale locked window maybe,how can i do it?

For example i can find a bassline lik Kid Creme-At night style bassline drive but i need to create it in a scale/key window or etc.

And one more question,

What about counterpoints with chords (not melodies or bass,u can do them with a new channel)

Have you explored the option to use in edit mode different patterns in seperate groups? For my part I was quite surprised how good the different combinations work together. Using this options reduces the limitations.
