How to drag MIDI region from project into Scaler (Logic Pro)?

Hi everyone!

I can’t seem to drag a MIDI region from the timeline in my project to an instance of Scaler in the same project. Is it possible?

Hi @Tedness

No this is not possible. You would need to export your midi file out of Logic first and then drag back in from your browser or finder window to the Scaler 2 interface.

Alternatively, a better option would be to place your midi file on the same instrument track that Scaler 2 is loaded on, enable detect mode inside Scaler 2 and trigger DAW playback. Scaler 2 will then detect the incoming midi from your midi region.
