I can't 'drag midi" into FL20, nor does saving work either

Hi,

I’m using FL 20, when I drag the midi into my DAW nothing happens. If I try saving it, it saves it as an XML file, and I can’t open it in my DAW. What are I doing wrong?

figured it out, I can’t drag into the playlist I need to drag to a specific instrument channel.
