The border around the pads in Scaler 1 looks sleeker for me. I really dig how pads looks in Scaler 1. It looks sharper too. Scaler 2 has this slight and bright glow around the pad, which looks a bit washed out in comparision. But this all may be taste. That said, there is one actuall advantage of it. There is more space in the pad for information.
Load the same scales, for example ‘Bossa Nova 3’, in Scaler 1 and Scaler 2.
In Scaler 1 all chord information inside the pad looks great and well spaced.
In Scaler 2 there is less space, it looks a bit too compressed.
