I get an “installation failed” error when attempting to installer Scaler 2.70 on a USB external hard drive. I have full read/write privileges on this external hard drive and have previously installed Cubase without any problems. Interestingly, Scaler 2 DOES install correctly on my Mac’s main hard drive. Would really like to be able to install Scaler on the external HD to save space. OS is 14.1.2
Have you tried using the latest version? Scaler is up to 2.8. Is the external drive a Boot drive or just a drive?
it’s just a storage drive, not boot. Thought I had downloaded the latest version but I will try again
The menu for the version on your PluginBoutique account is a drop down menu. Make sure you look at the whole list to see all versions.
