Currently the number of keys available in the chord notes mode of the keys lock feature is only 14. This is a very short range of chord note keys, which doesn’t allow for much melodic expression. If Scaler’s keyboard was to be expanded all the way down to C-2, the chord triggers could be transposed from their current C2 position all the way down to C-2, opening up a much broader range of keyboard space that could be used to allocate many more keys for chord notes.
