Live Sync and key changes - best practice?

Hi, I’m really enjoying Scaler 2. I’m writing a loop using a “chords” instance (Live Sync leader) and a “bass” instance (Live Sync follower).

The loop has 2 different sections in different keys. I can set up 2 different patterns in Pad and they sync fine. (Chord displays look a little odd, but that is just cosmetic.) The trigger notes go to section C and are basically continuous. My question is the timing of trigger notes to switch patterns. It seems they need to be somewhere just before the first chord of the new key - at the very end of the last trigger note in the old key seems to work?

When I rewind the DAW everything is still selecting the last played pattern, but that is very minor. I guess I could add a silent lead-in bar with a pattern switch?

A complex option would be separate leader/follower groups, but that might be impractical.

Thanks.
