Looking for Exploring Scaler Plugin: Best Tips for Music Theory Beginners ??

Hey everyone,

I recently started using Scaler Plugin to improve my compositions and dive deeper into music theory. As someone who’s still learning the ropes…, I find the tool incredibly intuitive but there’s so much to explore !!

For those who have been using Scaler for a while…, what are your top tips or favorite features for beginners: ?? I have been loving the chord suggestions and the ability to experiment with different scales but I feel like I am just scratching the surface.

Also, if you have workflows or specific genres where Scaler really shines…, I would love to hear about those too. I am primarily working on cinematic and lo fi beats so any genre specific advice would be golden !!

I have also searched on the forum and found this thread https://forum.scalerplugin.com/t/music-theory-how-do-you-use-scaler-to-learn-sac-analytics-cloud but couldn’t get enough solution. Let’s collaborate and help each other unlock Scaler’s full potential. Can’t wait to hear your insights !!

With Regards,
Daniel Jose

Hi @danielljose welcome to the forum and the Scaler community. Great to hear you’re enjoying Scaler 2 so far. There are many experienced fellow Scaler 2 users here who I’m sure would be happy to chat about their experiences with Scaler.

For anyone new to Scaler I do suggest checking out Davide’s Scaler 2 Beginners Guide video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq9zRKG0SW8

Davide is Scaler’s Creative Director and frequent contributor to this forum who has posted many other popular Scaler videos on the School of Synthesis YouTube Page you may like to browse through for tips on just about everything Scaler related:

Or if you’re after a very comprehensive introduction to Scaler 2 you can purchase the official Scaler 2 course from School of Synthesis Online which includes many hours of tutorial content, creative summaries as well as exercise and assessments: https://online.schoolofsynthesis.com
