Midi track control of Patterns in Pad View, in Logic

Has anyone tried controling and playing the Patterns in the Pad view section.

I can select ‘all patterns’ and this plays patterns one after another.

However, I want to control and play a pattern of my choice by using a midi track.

I saw Davide do something with a Switch Key control track, but not able to get enough infomation.

Has anyone done this?
