My March Sound on Sound magazine popped through the door, and I sat down to have a quick flick through on the toilet and I was suddenly aware that just about every application screen shot in the magazine sported a dark grey UI; check it out - they are hard to read in the mag.(e.g. Cubase, Logic and Pro Tools, Steinberg Backbone, IK Amplitude, Arturia V, F|L Studio and others.)
So one might consider that the Scaler grey/blue is merely in line with current styles and trends for DAW GUI’s, rather than it being an aberration by the authors of our favourite musical tool. OK, guys, you are forgiven, but the ‘light’ version will be welcome whenever.
