Resetting Scaler 2 to Blank Screen in Loopy Pro

I’m using Scaler 2 plug-in inside Loopy Pro (iPad IOS) to develop interesting progressions on-the-fly for jazz composition and improv. I want to be able to clear the Scaler 2 progression with a single button push on my Loopy Pro main screen, so I can very quickly start with a blank slate. I can’t figure out if there’s a way to do that.

When it opens, the Scaler 2 plug-in defaults to the last progression you used - it doesn’t default to a blank page. (See photo 1.) Clearing the progression from the plug-in Home Screen requires a minimum of two presses: a press on the main “S” button on the upper left, followed by a press on the”Clear State” in the drop-down (photo 2.). There is also a place on the Scaler Home Screen’s middle-right for user presets (photo 3.). This takes me three taps to set it to the “cleared state” preset I’ve saved in Scaler.

What I’d like to be able to do is clear this with a single tap on Loopy’s screen. I’ve set up a “Reset” widget in Loopy that clears all clips, resets the clock, and opens up the Scaler plugin (photo 4.). I’m hoping Loopy’s “Select MIDI AU Preset” action will allow me to do that (photo 5.) but I’ve got no idea how. The Action Menu doesn’t allow me to get into the Scaler plug-in’s presets. So I’m guessing there must be away to save the plug-in’s state as a preset in Loopy Pro. Is there? Can anyone advise me? Or is my best bet gonna be the two-tap “clear state” methodology?

If this isn’t possible, on feature request I’d love to see is a setting that would allow you to open on a blank screen by default.

N.b., I’m posting this in the Scaler 2 and the Loopy Pro forums.

[SOLVED: Got some help on the Loopy Pro FB forum. The missing step was to save Scaler 2’s blank state as a preset in Scaler’s auv3 presets, not in Scaler 2’s user presets. What you do is go to the folder icon the top right of Scaler’s uppermost plug-in menu bar (three icons in from the on button) and save the blank state there. Then, in setting up the widget actions, you “select MIDI AU preset,” set the action as “select preset,” and set the target to “Scaler 2”, and then under “User Presets,” select the blank state there.]
