Rest Block Populates Pattern Block

  1. What I was trying to do:
Move from the Main Page in Scaler Version 2.8.0. to and cycle through the windows using a blank session.

  2. What do I think should have happened?
All windows should remain untouched to its saved default settings.

  3. What happened instead:
When moving to the Chord page, the first (1st) Pattern block populates with a (Rest Block) which has to always be removed.

  4. What system/software do I use:
Scaler Version 2.8.0 Both VST and VST3 - macOS Monterey Version 12.6.3 - Nuendo 12.0.60

Thanks,

Hi @MikeJ ,

When you go into Chord window in Scaler with no chords in your progression C builder, Scaler assumes that you want to create a chord and therefore that rest is essentially there as you have not input any notes for a chord.

Try this:

Open a blank Scaler and navigate to the Chord window. Now press some of the notes on the keyboard display. You will see that the notes you press get added and a chord will be created where that rest is.

This is normal behavior and nothing to be concerned about.

Ok that’s strange, I see it now but wasn’t expecting that.

Wasn’t sure if it was a bug or not?

Thanks for clarifying.
