Hello. I’m not sure if this is really a bug or something that’s not supported. But I noticed that if I drag and drop in A MIDI which has notes from different channels scaler 2 only detect chords based off notes on channel 1. This obviously gives an inaccurate chord detection. It works fine if I go in and change the midi file so that all notes are on channel one first. It’s just a bit of a pain to do that.

yes this is a known limitation for now. It does not always make sense to detect all the notes of a multi channel midi file as it might represents different chords sent to different instruments at the same time.
In your case it seems you can just “merge” the content off all channel, but this is not always the case.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, it would be nice if Scaler gave you the option of which MIDI channels to import for detection. maybe in the future this can be integrated…
