Scaler 2 sync with DAW doesn't work with Cubase 10.5

Hi,

Tempo sync isn’t working - well, not quite working - in Cubase 10.5. Sync is slightly ahead of the beat.

Please see screenshot here which shows chords recorded directly from Scaler articulating slightly ahead of the start of each bar. https://gyazo.com/864af3289a30184094dc10ca6ad21e2c

A fix would be great for this as it’s a great feature otherwise!

Cheers

David

I have tried this in reaper and it syncs perfectly, it is just Cubase - Im going to see if I can try an older version of cubase to replicate fault

So it occurrs in Cubase 10.5.2, 10.5.0 and cuabse 10.0.0

Interestingly, if i set Scaler to midi capture, the midi that I then dragged out was perfectly quantised?

Hi @melph & @PoppaDave

thanks for reporting, we will have a look at this.

Hello, I just started using Scaler 2 in Cubase 8.5 (64 bit, Windows 10, Intel i7) and when the Scaler track is exported, it is about 39 ms ahead of the beat. Delaying the midi using the mixer’s built in channel delay did not help. However, inserting a stereo delay on Scaler 2’s audio channel (39ms, 100% mix) fixed the problem. I do look forward to hearing about a solution when it happens. HTH, take care, Steve
