After a lot of reasoning and demo tried, I decided to buy a guitar amp simulator because the amps/effects in AAS Strum-GS 2 seemed unsatisfactory to me
Maybe it’s not the more used in the world, but it has many interesting features that I like a lot:
The demo is 100% functional, so there are no nasty surprises after you buy it (as in case of other stuff I bought then had to ask for a refund, and not always received it)
The last release works under Windows 10 only, but they granted me an additional activation code for their previous release that works with my Windows 8.1
The user pool is quite collaborative and share free presets quite often: for example, I see a preset for David Gilmour’s Money, another for Santana’s Europe, etc
No Kontakt or other bugs involved (sorry, I hate complications )
The price is very fair
Their support is very fast
It is a modelled plugin, so it works well in my weak PC
I got the Guitar Rig w/ the Native Instruments Komplete software suite. Now I am not much of a guitar guy, but it looks pretty full featured. There’s even an emulation for the Rammstein stage rig, apparently. I sometimes use some of the psychedelic racks. Sounds pretty CPU friendly, probably Reaktor-based?
I didn’t even test it because costs more, it’s Windows 10 only, the demo mode is not 100% functional (and I was fooled already 2 times for that), and its specs are unsuitable for my PC
hahaha, I think I tested all demos I found, and just removed those with high specs
very few remained then, and I bought the more stable/reliable during my tests
