The easiest way to make funky basslines: drive sax plugins with Toontrack's funky MIDIs

All started from a Scaler Cmin

Then I added a series of chords using Suggest and my ear

Then I recorded the series in Section C

Here is the final status
Scaler-State.xml (13.9 KB)

Then I did a direct D&D in the EZkeys field for chords, then I duplicated the series 4 times and applied different & suitable funky patterns in a way that produced cool brass riffs

The first brass is this free but nice VST

Step 4

The second brass is the XPand!2 Baritone Sax

I then did another direct D&D for EZbass and EZdrummer 3 using the EZKeys series of chords, and here is the result (after some Izotope’s Mix & Max)

Funk Is Just Fun

So, in my system and with my plugins, using the funky MIDI by Toontrack to create basslines is the easiest way
